Amber Creek Farm Tour

This month, Amelia, Dan and family of Amber Creek Farm generously opened their sawmill to us for a private tour. 

“Amber Creek is our home, our work, our life and our lessons. We are forging our own pathway by combining two seemingly unconnected industries - farming and sawmilling - to build carbon, regenerate the soil, increase biodiversity, protect and increase habitat for wildlife and reduce nutrient run off into waterways” 

Dan led our group through the sawmill sharing insight into the agroforestry industry through his wealth of knowledge on the topic. The tour was followed by a particularly special ploughman’s lunch showcasing farm’s produce and local offerings (how good was that bread?). 

This popular event will definitely be repeated in the future so stay tuned.
