A Helping Hand for Corner Inlet Landcare

Prom Coast Ecolink

21 June 2025

We spent the morning getting 900 seedlings in the ground at Barry Beach

Although we are Landcare group – we are not the kind who usually focus on plantings. That’s not to say however, that we don’t help out our friends!.

On Saturday morning Corner Inlet Landcare gathered volunteers to plant some 900 seedlings grown by Narkabundah Wild Flower Nursery and completed their ‘Return to Bush’ revegetation biolink at Barry Beach.

Over 2024-2025, this biolink project has seen thousands of seeds grown and planted in an effort to link surrounding remnant bushland, create habitat, sequester carbon and encourage healthy waterways.

This project was made possible by West Gippsland Catchment Management Authority Landcare Victoria and the volunteers at Corner Inlet Landcare, who are doing a sensational job of restoring the landscape around the Marine & Coastal Park. Prom Coast Ecolink and Corner Inlet Landcare group are members of the South Gippsland Landcare Network.
