About the Event

"This is a project to interrupt the way human beings think, speak and act about themselves and other people – because the current result is waste showing up in the environment” – Project Interrupt

Sending out an SOS - A raft made from rubbish has docked in South Gippsland! Join us to hear the incredible story behind this journey.

Samuel McLennan built a boat entirely out of trash pulled from the sea and is sailing it from Hobart to Sydney. This Sunday is your chance to meet Sam and hear about Project Interrupt (www.projectinterrupt.com), a group committed to raising awareness of marine pollution and up-cycling rubbish.

His story is one of resilience and inner strength and will inspire us all to take action to change the unworkable situation we have created. Looking after our oceans is critical not just for ourselves, but for future generations and the planet itself. Attendance is free, but donations are warmly accepted and will go directly to help Samuel finance this important project.

Where possible, bring a plate of afternoon tea to share.

See you there!
